Oh, the Places They've Gone

To quote from NH Alpha brother Theodor "Dr. Seuss" Geisel '25, "Simple it's not, I'm afraid you will find, for a mind maker-upper to make up his mind." But you can't stay at Dartmouth forever and the Class of 2014 has now made its way in the world. Here's a report from Alumni Relations Chair Cameron Hunter '15:

Brother Alumni,

It is with great pride that I update you all on the plans of our most recently graduated class, the SigEp ‘14s. With the highest GPA on campus and easily the best personalities (not to mention looks), it should not be a surprise to anyone that our ‘14s are already making waves out in the real world.

In our graduated SigEp class, we have four brothers staying on campus: Nick Reznicek and Matt Bossart are working towards earning their B.E. at Thayer Engineering School, Gerben is working at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge, and Tyler Billipp is researching cutting edge science at a local biotech company called Adimab.

Five of our brothers are working in education: John D’Antonio and Horacio Romero are working for Teach for America in NYC, Spencer Diamond is doing a one-year teaching fellowship in at Phillips Academy Andover, Pedro Hurtado Ortiz is teaching Spanish at Blair Academy, and Reed Wommack is teaching Geology in Zermatt, Switzerland.

Both Charlie Laud and Matt Garczynski are working in the entertainment industry, with the former working as a for 20th Century Fox's upcoming Will Forte vehicle, Last Man on Earth, and the latter working as an editorial intern at The Onion.

For those SigEps headed into the corporate environment, Henry MacQueen, Connor Watumull, and Stefan Eckhardt are starting as consultants at Bain & Co. in Boston. For the other consultants in Boston, Freddie Fletcher is working at Treacy and Company and Patrick Gould is working at Parthenon Group. Additionally, Georgi Klissurski is working at NERA Economic Consulting in NYC, Leo Rogers is working at AdRoll in San Francisco, Simon Zhang is working in insurance at MBI in CT, Sid Sathe is working at a market research firm called Market Metrics in Boston, Michael Berger is working at Industrial Economics in Cambridge, MA, Michael Perlstein is working at EnerNOC in Boston, and William Kuzma is working at a headhunting firm called Park Square Executive Search in Boston as well.

We also have some guys who like computers, and all things #trending: both Will Jackson and Amith Ananthram are working as software engineers at Switchfly and Wealthfront Inc. respectively, and Sebastian DeLuca is working for his own tech start-up, PromoteU.

Lastly, for those who couldn’t get enough of school, Dylan Assael is attending Icahn School of Medicine, John Hong will be attending medical school as well (stay tuned as to where!) and Ethan Thomas is attending Columbia Law School.

While it was certianly difficult to see our seniors go, Dartmouth (though many might argue to the contrary) is not the end. Please check out our LinkedIn page to connect with any SigEp in your industry, or contact me if you’d like to reach out to the house for any and all matters!

HFF,
Cameron Hunter ‘15
